Best medical treatment being provided to 900 prisoners

Five days medical camp has been setup at district jail for providing treatment facilities to inmates of the jail on the directions of the Punjab government. Deputy Commissioner Umer Farooq Warraich and Superintendent Jail Muhammad Abu Bakr Abdullah inaugurated the camp. CEO Health Dr. Fareha Malik, DO Health Dr. Ishfaq Meer, DDOH Dr. Zaheer Ahmad, nurses and other paramedical staff was also present on the occasion. DC said that medicines, vaccination, screening, ultrasound, and other diagnostic facilities would be provided to more than 900 prisoners in the jail.

Earlier, DC alongwith Superintendent visited different departments of the jail including barracks, kitchen, telephone room and play area etc. Superintendent informed the DC that with collaboration of TEVTA, vocational training of motorcycle mechanic, carpenter and other trades was being imparted to prisoners so that they could enable to earn their own livelihood in respectable manners after releasing from jail. DC expressed his satisfaction over available facilities to prisoners in the jail.
