Bedil library marks golden jubilee with literary event

Bedil Library is set to host the inauguration of Goshah-e-Sabih Mohsin on November 15, commemorating its Golden Jubilee. The event will feature the launch of Jamal Mohsin’s book, “Bedil Library Ke Aas Paas”, alongside a mushaira that promises to showcase some of the finest voices in Urdu literature.

The gathering will be presided over by Professor Saher Ansaari and will include esteemed literary figures such as Anwer Shaur, Peerzada Qaim, Musarrat Khalil, Iqbal Mohsin, Jamal Mohsin, Muhammad Zubair, Mahmood Laiq, and Ali Kamil Qazalbash. The event will also pay tribute to the late Sabih Mohsin, a distinguished writer and columnist, with poets like Jawed Saba, Afzal Syed, AH Khanzada, Najma Usman, Tanweer Anjum, Khalid Irfan, Aqeel Abbas Jafri, Rukhsana Saba, Ambreen Haseeb, Seeman Naveed, and Kashif reciting their works in his honor.

The literary gathering, organized in celebration of the library’s 50th anniversary, is set to be a significant tribute to Sabih Mohsin’s contributions to Urdu literature and to Bedil Library’s enduring legacy in promoting literary excellence.
