Roger Binny, the current President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), along with the Vice President, Rajeev Shukla, are possibly plan-ning a visit to Pakistan for the forthcoming 2023 Asia Cup, according to a media report.

As reported by Cricket Pakistan last week, the President of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) and BCCI Secretary, Jay Shah, was invited by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to watch the opening match of the Asia Cup, which is scheduled to begin with Pakistan taking on Nepal on August 30 in Multan.

PCB had also sent invitations to other Asian countries board officials for the aforementioned match.

The media report further added that the PCB has also extended invitations to prominent figures in the ICC hierarchy, including ICC Chairman Greg Barclay, ICC Chief Executive Geoff Allardice, and General Manager Cricket Wasim Khan.

The 2023 Asia Cup is scheduled to take place in Pakistan and Sri Lanka from August 30 to September 17. Pakistan will compete in Group A alongside Nepal and India, while Group B will consist of Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Sri Lanka.—Agencies
