Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar met with Provincial Minister for Housing Mian Mahmoodur Rasheed and Vice-Chancellor of University of Veterinary Sciences Lahore Dr Naseem Ahmed.
The decision to set up Veterinary University’s sub campus in the Sahiwal division was also discussed during the meeting.
Governor Chaudhry Sarwar said that providing basic facilities to the people in all sectors including education and health is the top priority of the government.
The present government is initiating development projects in Punjab without any political discrimination and the promises made to the people will be fulfilled.
According to details, in a meeting between Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar and Provincial Minister for Housing Mian Mahmoodur Rasheed on Friday, Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme, and other administrative issues came under discussion.
Provincial Minister for Housing, Mian Mehmoodur Rasheed said that efforts have been expedited for the provision of houses to the homeless in line with the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Governor Chaudhry Sarwar said that despite all the challenges, the PTI government is working to provide maximum relief to the masses.
Sehat Insaaf Card, Kamyab Jawab Program, Ehsaas Program are the initiatives that the government has launched to uplift the downtrodden sections of the population, adding more welfare projects will be initiated for the development of the country and well-being of the common man.
Later, Dr Naseem Ahmad, Vice-Chancellor, University of Veterinary Sciences, Lahore also called on Governor Ch Sarwar at Governor’s House in which it was decided that a sub-campus of Veterinary University will be established in Sahiwal Division.
On this occasion, Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that there is a huge scope for livestock in the Sahiwal division and the establishment of a sub-campus of Veterinary University will boost it further.
Governor Punjab said that Prime Minister Imran Khan wants to promote the livestock sector as it has a key role in the country’s economy.
Vice-Chancellor Naseem Ahmed also briefed the Governor of Punjab on various issues of the varsity.
