As the notification sparked buzz online, Punjab Home Department categorically denied issuing any notification approving or announcing the organisation of Basant 2027 in the province. The document currently circulating across social media platforms is fake and fabricated and should not be treated as an official government announcement.
The clarification came after the alleged notification gained traction online, with users sharing it as confirmation that Basant festivities would return to Punjab in 2027.
The Home Department urged citizens not to fall for unverified information or circulate such claims without confirmation from official sources.
The department further advised the public to rely on its official social media accounts, @HomeDptPunjab, for verified information and authentic government notifications.
