Bannu grenade attack suspects killed in police en-counter


Bannu police on Monday claimed it has mowed down two accused responsible for the attack on a police van in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Bannu district that had left a man in uniform dead and other wounded seriously. The officials claimed that the “encounter” took place in Shamooni Khattak area of Bannu, where two ‘accused’ wanted in Bannu po-lice van attack opened fire on the cops.

In a retaliatory fire, Police said, two ‘accused’ were killed. The Police declined to reveal identity of the killed on Monday. A policeman was killed and another ijured on Saturday when militants lobbed a hand grenade at a police mobile in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Bannu district.
