Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah, the Provincial Minister for Culture, Tourism, Antiquities, and Archives in Sindh, emphasized the rich heritage of Balochistan in science, culture, and literature, underscoring the untapped potential of its youth. Shah articulated these sentiments while addressing the inaugural ceremony of the two-day Pakistan Literature Festival, hosted by the Arts Council of Pakistan at Balochistan University of Information Technology Engineering Management Science College.
During his address, Shah highlighted the significant contributions of Balochistan to the nation’s cultural and literary landscape, emphasizing the need to provide platforms for its youth to showcase their talents. He praised the efforts of the People’s Party in addressing the challenges faced by Balochistan, citing initiatives such as the Balochistan Huqooq Package launched by former President Asif Ali Zardari. The opening ceremony witnessed the presence of numerous writers, analysts, youth, and students, reflecting a vibrant engagement with literary and cultural discourse. Shah emphasized the importance of fostering stronger ties between Balochistan and Sindh, advocating for cultural exchange programs to promote inter-provincial harmony. Furthermore, Shah extended an invitation to the youth of Balochistan to explore the rich cultural and historical heritage of Sindh by visiting its tourist destinations. He underlined the significance of such initiatives in fostering cross-cultural understanding and national unity.
