Balochistan rescue staff to be trained: DG

Director General PDMA Baluchistan Naseer Ahmad Nasir along with Director Rescue Asghar Ali Jamali visited Rescue Headquarters & Emergency Services Academy and met with the Director General Emergency Services Dr Rizwan Naseer. They discussed in detail specialized emergency and rescue training requirements for Baluchistan.

On the occasion, Dr Rizwan Naseer briefed the DG PDMA Balochistan about the Emergency Services reforms, which have been carried out in Punjab, KPK and Gilgit-Baltistan provinces.

He said that this comprehensive emergency preparedness, response and prevention system established under the Punjab Emergency Service Act, 2006 responds to day-to-day emergencies while the Punjab PDMA provides relief and compensation in case of disasters in any area under the guidance of the SMBR/ Relief Commissioner.

Dr Rizwan appreciated the Chief Minister Balochistan initiative for launching MERC for providing basic right of emergency care to the helpless victims of emergencies and disaster.

He ensured all possible support for training of Baluchistan on behalf of Sardar Usman Khan Buzdar Chief Minister Punjab.

Earlier, Dr Farhan Khalid, Registrar Academy along with senior officers of Emergency Services Academy welcomed the DG PDMA Balochistan.

They witnessed the practical professional skills of rescuers and also reviewed the ongoing training at Emergency Services Academy in different fields of Emergency Management which includes Response to Medical emergencies, Firefighting, Urban Search and Rescue, Rescue from height and Hazmat Incident etc.

They also witnessed Provincial Monitoring Cell, Patient Transfer Service mechanism, Motorbike Ambulance Service and Citizen Feedback System.
