A judicial magistrate in Karachi has denied bail to Natasha Danish, who is accused in a drug-related case linked to a fatal car crash in the city. The decision was announced after it was revealed that a settlement had been reached between Natasha’s family and the victims’ families. The magistrate had reserved judgment on the bail application on September 6.

The denial of bail came in the wake of reports that Natasha’s family had reached a financial settlement with the families of the two deceased individuals. Sources indicate that Natasha’s family paid over 50 million rupees in compensation to the family of Amina, one of the victims, through a pay order. Additionally, a family member of Amina will be offered employment as part of the settlement. Compensation was also reportedly provided to the individuals injured in the accident, in accordance with Islamic law.

The interim charge sheet submitted by the police has declared Natasha’s British driving license as inadmissible. The tragic accident occurred on August 19 when Natasha’s speeding car veered out of control and crashed into pedestrians on Karsaz Road. The collision resulted in the deaths of Imran Arif and his daughter Amina, and left four others injured.
