Bad News For Contract Employees In Islamabad

ISLAMABAD – The Inspector General of Islamabad Police has terminated the contracts of all 29 employees serving on a contractual basis in various departments, according to sources.

The decision also affects former police officers and personnel who had been working on contract in different positions.

A formal notification regarding the termination of the contracts has been issued, local media reported on Monday.

Among those affected are three law officers, four former Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) and three former Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs).

The contracts of individuals working as a director and software engineer in the Information Technology Department have also been terminated, according to the sources.

Reports said the decision is part of action concerning contractual appointments within different sections of the Islamabad Police.

Further steps are also being considered regarding the future of other individuals currently serving on contractual positions in various departments.
