Punjab Information Minister Azma Zahid Bukhari on Friday said that Pakistan was not achieved without struggle but was the result of the countless sacrifices made by the nation’s forefathers. In a video message on the occasion of Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day, she felicitated the nation and said that the country’s journey since 1947 reflected resilience, progress and determination. Azma Bukhari said Pakistan was earning respect at international forums and playing an important role in regional and global affairs. She said Independence Day provided an opportunity to renew the pledge to contribute towards the country’s progress and prosperity.
