Regional Election Commissioner Hazara Sardar Jehanzeb stressed the need for more efforts to create awareness among the masses regarding their right of vote and said that importance of vote in democratic process cannot be ignored. He was addressing a function arranged in connection with National Voters day celebrated across the country on Monday. The function was organized in the office of Regional election Commissioner Hazara which was attended by people from all walks of life including staff of election commission and notables of the area.
Different topics including CNIC and voters registration of transgender community, postal ballot for person with disabilities, Issues faced by minorities, role of youth in voters education, importance of voters certificate and inclusion of females in election process were discussed in length by the speakers as well as participants. District Election Commissioner Abbottabad Zulfiqar Ahmed in his address appreciated the role of District Voters Education committee members in voters education campaign of election commission of Pakistan.
