Avoid Doing These Violations On New Year Night Alert For Pakistanis

LAHORE – As all are set to ring in 2026, Punjab Police have devised a comprehensive security plan for New Year’s Eve to ensure law and order throughout the province.

Inspector General of Punjab Police, Usman Anwar, has directed a significant increase in security measures, particularly in Lahore and other key areas of the province ahead of the New Year night.

According to police spokespersons, over 25,000 police officers and personnel will be on duty across Punjab, with more than 5,000 officers deployed specifically in Lahore.

The police will also closely monitor activities via CCTV cameras to ensure that all public spaces remain secure.

IG Punjab, Usman Anwar, emphasized that security forces will remain on high alert, focusing on potential threats from anti-state elements.

Avoid These Violations

The IGP Punjab stressed that any unlawful activities, including one-wheeling, aerial firing, and hooliganism, will not be tolerated.

Perpetrators disturbing public peace, especially targeting women and civilians, will be arrested and taken into custody.

Furthermore, comprehensive traffic management plans have been put in place to ensure smooth travel across major roads and highways.

Special squads, including the Dolphin Squad, PERO, Elite Force, and the Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP), have been instructed to increase their presence on the streets and carry out additional patrolling.

In addition to this, regular search and sweep operations will be conducted in cities, including Lahore, to further ensure the safety of the public on the night of December 31st.
