LAHORE – The prices of cooking oil and ghee have risen sharply once again in Pakistan, adding further financial strain on citizens who were hoping to see the promised benefits of the much-discussed macroeconomic stability.

Repots said the prices of both A-brand and B-brand have increased due to demand and supply issue.

Companies attribute the increase to a growing gap between supply and demand, coupled with reduced imports, which has led to a rise in prices.

Retailers have stated that the price hike has occurred within the last 15 to 20 days.
