Authorities urged to control incidents of drowning

Additional Deputy Commissioner General Attock Mr. Adnan Anjum Raja on Thursday while chairing the meeting of working group has directed the relevant agencies to compile their recommendations to control over the frequent incidences of drowning in the River Indus and other canals of the district.

Among other, the meeting was also attended by District Emergency Officer Attock Mr. Ali Hassan, Rescue-1122, Civil Defense, Deputy Director Public Relations Attock Mr. Shahzad Niaz as well as other officers of the provincial departments. The District Emergency Officer Attock made a detailed briefing to the Addl. Deputy Commissioner General Attock adding that 43 persons died in the different traffic accidents on national highways and inter cities routes during the current year.

He also shared his considered views and experts opinions in the backdrop of the road casualties besides giving proposals to launch a comprehensive drive for the awareness of the vehicles operators.
