Authorities shut 25 illegal cattle markets

Responding to the directive of Commissioner Karachi Syed Hasan Naqvi, a crackdown on illegal cattle markets is underway across all districts of Karachi.

Deputy Commissioners have been instructed to take action daily. No cattle market will be permitted without the commissioner’s approval, and legal action will be taken against violators. Deputy Commissioners have compiled reports on actions taken against illegal cattle markets in their respective districts.

According to the report, 25 illegal cattle markets have already been shut down. Over 60 illegal markets have been identified for further action, with notices already issued.

The next phase will target additional markets. Commissioner Karachi Syed Hasan Naqvi has directed Deputy Commissioners to eliminate illegal cattle markets in the city without the approval of the Karachi administration and take legal action against those responsible.
