In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the President of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mehbooba Mufti, has said that arresting women in the territory marks a new low for the authorities that persecutes civilians only to please their masters in New Delhi.
Her remarks came after the arrest of a mother and her daughter by Indian police in Srinagar, on charges of raising Anti national slogans during a protest demonstration against the killing of two youth by Indian troops in Srinagar.
Taking to Twitter, Mufti said, “Arresting women in Kashmir marks a new low for the admini-stration that persecutes civilians only to please their masters in Delhi.”
