Australian Born Trans Person Alleges Rs4 Crore Fake Marriage Fraud In Gujranwala

A TikTok relationship that started as online romance has taken a shocking turn in Gujranwala with allegations of a fake marriage and more than Rs40 million in financial fraud.

Police in Gujranwala arrested a man and his father after an Australian-born transgender person accused them of allegedly orchestrating fraudulent marriage and taking more than Rs40 million from them.

The case was registered at Ladhewala Warraich Police Station, where the complainant alleged that the main suspect, Usman, first established contact through TikTok in 2024.

According to FIR, the online connection eventually developed into a relationship, prompting the complainant to travel to Pakistan twice.

The complainant alleged that Usman arranged fake marriage certificate and had it registered with Union Council No. 39. Police documents said more than Rs40 million was allegedly transferred to Usman through multiple transactions, with the funds deposited into his bank account.

The complaint took a more serious turn when the Australian-born complainant allegedly attempted to return to Australia. Usman and members of his family allegedly prevented the complainant from leaving and demanded additional money for their release. The family was also accused of demanding Australian visas for Usman and other relatives.

The complainant reportedly managed to escape on June 1 and reached Lahore before approaching authorities.

After registration of case, Gujranwala police arrested Usman and his father Qasim. Investigators are now examining the alleged financial transactions, marriage documentation and claims of confinement. Police said the investigation is continuing and further legal action will depend on the evidence gathered.

The allegations remain unproven in court, and the suspects will have the opportunity to respond to the charges through the legal process.
