SardarAttique Ahmed Khan President Muslim Conference and ex-Premier of AJK has vehemently condemned Indian government’s ban on Muslim Conference Jammu and Kashmir operating in India-held part of Jammu and Kashmiri state. Describing it as the savage political extremism by India the illegal occupant of Kashmir against dictates of UN Kashmir resolutions, SardarAttique Khan urged on the Secretary General of the UN Mr Antonio Guterres to call an urgent meeting of Security Council on this latest Indian violation of human and political rights of the Kashmiris.
SardarAttique warned that such fascist moves showed India deliberately wanted to vitiate peace in the region. Kashmir is contiguous to both Pakistan and China. Any war-like move by India in Jammu and Kashmir like the one she took today would engulf the entire region into hellish fire. We urge the international community to take note of this bullish posture of India, he stressed.
In his media statement here tonight the Muslim Conference chief said New Delhi’s ban clampdown on 1932-established Muslim Conference Jammu and Kashmir exposes India’s designs of regional hegemony. “Kashmir is a UN listed dispute. India is a party to this dispute in the UN. She is signatory to the UN Security Council’s Kashmir resolutions. The UN Charter binds her not to tamper with the geographic and political map of the part of Jammu and Kashmir under her military occupation”, he asserted.
He reminded the world community that Jammu and Kashmir does not form part of India under UN resolutions. Therefore she cannot curtail the political rights of the Kashmiris. Over one million Indian troops today occupy Kashmir busy reducing the Kashmiri population into a minority by planting RSS extremists in Kashmir, he decried.
