Referring to the PTI’s planned protest at D-Chowk in Islamabad, Federal Information Minister Ataullah Tarar said on Saturday that those coming to Islamabad to protest did not want the country to develop.

Addressing a press conference in Lahore, he said whenever the country started progressing, these people became restless and worried.

He alleged that the PTI’s narrative was anti-state and anti-army.

The minister vowed that nobody would be allowed to disrupt the SCO summit to be held in Islamabad a few days from now. “Nobody would be allowed to come anywhere near the Red Zone.”

What a pity, he added, that while terrorists were raising their heads again in KP, the provincial chief minister Ali Amin Gandapur is leading his troops to march on Islamabad.

He claimed that the world trusted Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and PML-N President Nawaz Sharif.

Tarar said that the country’s economy was now improving courtesy the policies introduced by the prime minister. “The entire world acknowledges the policies being pursued by the present government.”

The filers registered with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), he went on to say, had now doubled. “Prices of items of daily use have come down,” he added.
