Ashura observed with traditional religious fervour and devotion in memory of Imam Hussain (A.S.) and his 72 followers.
The main Ashura processions of Rawalpindi were taken out from Imambargah Ashiq Hussain Teli Mohalla, Imambargah Colonel Maqbool Hussain and Imambargah Hifazat Ali Shah, led by Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi who also performed Zairat of Taburakaat that included Shabih-e-Zuljinah, Alam Hazrat Abbas, Tazia, Taboot and Gehwara Shahzada Ali Asghar.
On this occasion, Shah Moosavi while addressing the media and mourners clarified that Khatam-un-Nabiyyun (SAAW) had predicted that Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S.) would be martyred by a rebel group. According to the Quran, one who pitches himself against Rasool (SAAW) and Ahle Bait (A.S.) is a liar.
Meanwhile, the main Ashura procession took the form of a large gathering after reaching Fawwara Chowk where Allama Syed Qamar Haider Zaidi enlightened thousands of mourners on the topic of philosophy of martyrdom and expressed the sufferings of Ashura and thanked the media for providing good coverage to the procession.
