Federal Minister for Planning, Development Asad Umar performed ground breaking of construction of vehicular underpass at Golra Chowk.
Senior officers of Ministry of Communications, National Highway Authority and Local administrations were also present.
Golra Morr underpass is located at the crossing point of GT Road (N-5) with local Capital Development Authority road between Golra and Haji Camp in a congested area of Rawalpindi.
The proposed underpass will provide easy access from Islamabad to new developing sectors of the CDA. The underpass will help discipline traffic at this point and smooth flow of traffic will be ensured.
The underpass will be completed at cost of more than Rs. 71 Crore and will be completed in one year period.
