Punjab Minister for Information & Culture Mian Aslam Iqbal and Executive Director Lahore Arts Council (LAC) Athar Ali Khan inaugurated the painting competition “Fan-e-Rang” along with children at LAC here on Friday.
LAC Executive Director showed the displayed work to the chief guest Mian Aslam Iqbal who appreciated the paintings and congratulated the LAC for holding this exhibition.
Talking on the occasion, provincial minister said that the government is taking solid steps for the bright future of the youth as they are the real future of the country.
Youth have tremendous talent to demonstrate in different sectors of life, he added. Athar Khan said that LAC will award prizes to the children getting positions adding that the LAC is an important platform to perform different types of creative abilities. Workshops and exhibitions are being regularly held by the LAC to display children’s art work, theatrical talent and other forms of arts, he added.
300 paintings of children belonging to 100 different schools across the province are displayed in this exhibition, he further said.
Provincial Minister Mian Aslam Iqbal congratulated Muhammad Ali Zaffar, Adeel Abid and Maryam Ali for holding “Fan-e-Rang” competition. Muhammad Ali Zaffar told that this competition is held every year and participating children are given certificates.
On the directions of the Information Minister, LAC Executive Director announced to give cash prizes and shields to the children securing first three positions.
