Army, Police conduct joint flag march

The Pakistan Army along with the City Police and the district administration carried out a joint flag march in the provincial metropolis to raise awareness against the third wave of corona pandemic on Monday.

Pakistan army vehicles also carried public awareness messages about combating Covid-19.

The joint flag march started from SP Iqbal Town Operation office from Muslim Town and proceeded from Wahdat Road, Bhekewal Morr, Karim Market, Dubai Chowk, Scheme Morr, Chowk Yatimkhana, Babu Sabu, Gulshan Ravi, Samanabad and Scheme Mor and concluded at the starting point in Muslim Town. Dolphin-Police Response Unit were also part of the joint flag march.

In the flag March, vehicles of all police stations participated during the flag march.

Iqbal Town SP (Operation) Owais Shafiq and Assistant Commissioner City Faizan Ahmed Riaz were present during the flag march and visited Wahdat Colony Model Bazaar.

In view of the tense situation in Covid-19, the Lahore district administration took major decisions and announced there will be a penalty for not wearing a mask.

Muhammad Usman said that law enforcement agencies will hold a flag march after 4 pm daily. Commissioner Lahore said that the traffic in the lockdown areas will be reduced to zero.

While, in public and private offices, the attendance will be 50 percent. He said the administration will ensure the closure of markets by 6pm.
