An armoured vehicle of the Lahore police crashed into the main gate of the District and Session court on Thursday.
The accident took place due to the recklessness of the driver, according to the court’s security in-charge. The vehicle was on a routine duty carrying prisoners to the court.No casualties were reported.
Meanwhile, the body of a woman, said to be mother of six children, was recovered near Babu Sabu Interchange here on Thursday. Police said that the 45-year-old woman had been shot to death.
Husband of the deceased stated to be a drug addict was missing after the incident and her heirs feared that she was killed by her spouse.
The deceased had move to Lahore from Sahiwal few years back and currently she was engaged in sale of the items used for decorating the sacrificial animals.
The police have registered a case into the incident and started search for husband of the deceased.
