Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi will leave for Beijing on Tuesday (today) for talks focused on the Middle East crisis.
According to a brief statement from Iran’s foreign ministry, he will hold meetings with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi to discuss bilateral relations as well as key regional and global developments.
The visit comes amid an ongoing stalemate between Iran and the United States over efforts to halt the war that began on February 28, involving Israel and the US.
China has emerged as an influential diplomatic actor during the crisis, leveraging its longstanding policy of non-interference and maintaining ties with all sides involved in the conflict.
