APHC demands UN intervention to address IIOJK detainees’ plight

In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has expressed deep concern over the plight of incarcerated Hurri-yat leaders and activists, languishing in different jails of India and the territory.

APHC General Secretary, Molvi Bashir Ahmed Irfani in a statement issued in Srinagar condemned the inhuman treatment meted out to the prisoners of conscience, illegally detained on flimsy grounds.

He lauded the unwavering steadfastness dis-played by the freedom loving leaders, including Shabbir Ahmed Shah, Mohamed Yasin Malik, Ma-sarrat Aalam Butt, Dr. Shafi Shariati, Dr Qasim Fakhtoo,Dr.Hamid Fayaz, Aasiya Andrabi, Dr.Gh. Mohamad Butt, Ayaz Akbar, Alltaf Ahmad Shah, Pir Saifullah, Raja Merajudin Kalwal, Ameer Hamza, Mohamed Yousuf Mir, Mohamed Yousuf Falahi, Fahmida Sofi, Nahida Nasreen, Shazia Ak-hter,Hasina Behum,Saaima.—KMS
