A meeting of All Pakistan Clerks Association (APCA) Hafizabad held under the chairmanship of District President Nasir Amin. It was deiced in the meeting that complete pen down strike will be held and no office work will be done in offices across the district, today.
Addressing the meeting, District President Nasir Amin said that in the light of the decision of the All Pakistan Clerks Association, if their demands will not accepted immediately, government employees of all departments will hold a sit-in in front of the Islamabad Parliament House to pressed the government for accepting the charter of demands.
He said that our demands are justify and all government employees across Punjab should be given utility allowance without any discrimination. The salaries of government employees should be increased by 100 percent in proportion to the rising inflation in the country. All government employees should be given house rent on enology of federal government and secretariat as well as to upgrade all remaining posts of clerical staff, he said and added that Group insurance should be paid to all government employees on retirement.
He said further said that if the government would not fulfill demands of APCA, there will be a strike on January 26, February 2 and February 9 by locking the offices. A sit-in will be held in front of Parliament House on February 10.
Meanwhile three persons including two female students were injured in a collision between a dumper and a college van near Bariwala village on the outskirts of Hafizabad. A van of private college was carrying students to Hafizabad city and due to fog near Bariwala, the dumper hit the van, as a result of which Ayesha Rani, Tanzeela Rani and Shafqat Ali were injured. Rescue 1122 personnel reached the spot and shifted the injured to hospital.
