Muzaffarabad

The International Forum for Justice and Human Rights Jammu and Kashmir organised an anti-India sit-in protest in Muzaffarabad, Friday.
The protest was held at Burhan Wani Shaheed Chowk in Muzaffarabad against the stepped up Indian state terrorism in IIOJK including custodial killing of a youth, Irfan Ahmed, in Sopore and the killing of three youth and a woman in Srinagar.
Irfan Ahmad Dar was martyred by Indian police in custody in Tujjer Sharief area of Sopore and a 43-year-old woman and three youth were killed by Indian troops during a cordon and search operation at Batamaloo in Srinagar.
A large number of people took part in the anti-India protest, chanting slogans against India over the continued killing of innocent civilians, enforced disappearances and destruction of homes by Indian forces in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
The protesters were holding banners and placards urging the international community to take strict action against the Indian state terrorism in the territory.
The Chairman of International Forum for Justice and Human Rights, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo, in his telephonic address from Srinagar said that India was systematically killing the Kashmiri youth.
He deplored that innocent people were being imprisoned and the people were being harassed.
He added that demanding freedom, rights and justice in Kashmir had become a deadly crime.
The human rights activist said that India had turned IIOJK into a prison.—INP
