ANP stages protest rally against skyrocketing inflation

Awami National Party (ANP) Tehsil Mardan chapter staged a protest rally against the severe inflation, illegal load shedding of gas, electricity and shutdown of CNG stations. The rally was led by district president Imran Manduri. Mayor Mardan Himayatullah Mayar and other office bearers.

The protest rally started from Shagu Bridge and passed through various bazaars. At Pakistan chowk the rally was changed into a protest meeting. Large numbers of party workers participated in the rally. The participants of the rally chanted slogans against the provincial government and provincial minister of Food Mohammad Atif Khan.

Addressing the rally speakers strongly criticized PTI government and said that due to the failure of the PTI government’s policy, inflation has increased and due to which people have been forced to commit suicide and poison children. Speakers said that after the Eighteenth Amendment, it is the responsibility of the provincial government to control the inflation, but the incompetent provincial government has crushed the people in the mill of inflation.

Speakers said that the provincial food minister Atif Khan has earned billions of rupees by creating an artificial shortage of flour. Speakers said that the shortage of flour in the hometown of the food minister is shameful. Speakers accused that in 2013 provincial minister Mohammad Atif Khan did not have money to submit election fees, but today he is owner of hundred acres of land and billions of rupees. Speaker said that the PTI government broke the records of corruption.
