Another girl goes missing, reappears married

Lahore College Women University (LCWU) student who was allegedly abducted a day ago has tied the knot own her on free will, it was surfaced on Saturday.

Police said on Friday a 20-year-old student, purportedly of Lahore College for Women University (LCWU), went missing from outside the institution.

As per the first information report (FIR), Laiba Khan, a resident of the Maraghzar Colony neighborhood of Lahore, was dropped off by her brother at the university’s entrance in the morning.

However, when her brother went to pick her up at 11:30 am, she did not show up. He then called her on her mobile which was switched off.

Later in the evening, Laiba Khan’s family filed an FIR with the police.

As the drop scene of the case suggested Laiba Khan got married with Zonair on July 4 and now she was with him.

Pertinent to note that in May this year, a student went missing and was found to be abducted by her ex-fiancé from Lahore’s Shadbagh area.

Later, she recovered from the Arifwala tehsil of Pakpattan.

LHC Chief Justice Muhammad Ameer Bhatti had taken notice of the incident after the video of the kidnapping incident had gone viral.

He had given a 10 pm deadline to IG Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan and Lahore Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Bilal Siddique Kamyana to ensure the safe recovery of the girl.
