INDIRA Gandhi remarked in 1971 that the two-nation theory had been drowned in the Bay of Bengal.
Yet, 54 years later, the attempt to topple Sheikh Hasina Wazed, daughter of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, has made it clear that the two-nation theory is still alive and well, with the nation founded by Quaid-e-Azam existing in two countries: Pakistan and Bangladesh. The betrayal of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the conspiracy in Agartala, Indian terrorism and the Mukti Bahini have all been submerged in the Bay of Bengal. History’s justice is evident: the conspiracy to break Pakistan took place in Agartala and the criminals behind this plot, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s daughter, fled the country to reach her masters in India, landing her plane in Agartala. Today, the streets of Dhaka resonate with slogans of “Long Live Pakistan.” Descendants of those who fought against the Mukti Bahini in 1971 are now fighting for the two-nation theory. The Pakistani Armed Forces have emerged victorious and accusations of cruelty and assault against them have proven false. Those whose ancestors opposed Pakistan now raise slogans in its favor, showing that brotherhood never ends!
Salute to the courage and patriotism of Bengali students who, in response to Prime Minister Hasina’s contemptuous term “volunteers,” ended her authoritarian rule on August 5. The students have revealed who the real traitors are. The growing closeness between Bangladesh and Pakistan strikes a severe blow to the concept of Akhand Bharat (Undivided India). Our eternal enemy’s sleep has been disrupted, as their nefarious plans to separate both brothers in 1971 have failed and once again, there is a conspiracy to replicate the events of ’71, which was against Pakistan then and is now being played out under Indian sponsorship against Bangladesh by another Mukti Bahini. Open calls for military action to expel Bangladesh from the IPL are also being made.
Bangladesh has acknowledged the two-nation theory. Certainly, there has been a clear shift in Bangladesh’s foreign policy since Muhammad Yunus assumed power, with the interim government formed after the flight of Indian agent Sheikh Hasina not only improving relations with Pakistan but also with China. This is why India has resorted to traditional obstinacy. After their disgraceful defeat in Operation Sundar, India’s second major failure is the demise of Hasina Wazed’s government in Bangladesh, where the flag of Pakistan is now being raised, causing our eternal enemy to lose control. This is because they aimed to establish Bangladesh as a client state, perhaps forgetting that it is a land of freedom fighters. The contributions of leaders from East Pakistan remain a bright chapter in our national political history. The All India Muslim League was founded in 1906 at the home of Nawab Salimullah Khan. The leader who presented the Pakistan Resolution also hailed from Bengal. Maulvi Fazlul Haq is remembered as the Lion of Bengal. Another significant leader from Bengal was Khawaja Nazimuddin, who was appointed Governor-General after Quaid-e-Azam and led the country with great dignity and grace after him. Hussain Shaheed Suhrawardy was also among the warriors of the Pakistan Movement.
Just as India could not tolerate its failure in May 2025, Bangladesh faces turmoil following Sheikh Hasina Wazed’s loss of power in August 2024 and the announcement of general elections. The integrity of its ‘chicken neck’ is at risk, as the Modi Government struggles over maps depicting ‘Greater Bangladesh,’ including Myanmar’s Rakhine state and India’s northeastern states—Meghalaya, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram and parts of West Bengal, including Assam. Hindutva-aligned media lament that Bangladesh is becoming Eastern Pakistan again. Young leaders are targeted by India’s intelligence agency, RAW, as their election prospects rise. The Awami League and India are colluding and the Mukti Bahini is allegedly eliminating Bengali youth leaders. The murder of student leader Hadi Osman, a key figure in the August 2024 movement and National Assembly candidate from Dhaka City’s constituency 8, is cited as proof. The international community should note Indian state terrorism. Bangladesh has suspended visa services at its High Commission in New Delhi. India assumes any government in Dhaka will oppose its interests. The decline of the Awami League has begun, Sheikh Hasina has been sentenced to death and she and Modi are plotting to incite chaos and sabotage the elections, while public anger rises and Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s legacy is being erased.
Today, the grip of Hindutva agents in Bengal has tightened. Former Indian politician Shashi Tharoor stated in his parliamentary report that a significant issue has arisen for India since 1971, posing a serious challenge to its security. History bears witness that India has consistently played a central role in fostering terrorism in the region. Prior to the 1971 Indo-Pak War, India orchestrated a bloodbath in East Pakistan under its terrorist policies. Now, it seeks to instigate violence in Bangladesh. A recent UN report confirmed Indian aggression, stating that on May 7, India used the Pulwama incident as a baseless justification to accuse Pakistan, engaging in aggression that violates international peace laws and contravenes the UN Human Rights Charter, effectively imposing war on Pakistan. UN special experts recognized Pakistan’s stance as valid, asserting that Operation Sindoor breached international law and that India failed to provide solid evidence of Pakistan’s involvement in Pulwama. The unilateral suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty is illegal, as water cannot be used as a weapon. Pakistan has informed the Security Council it reserves the right to self-defence under Article 51. The report also deemed India’s term held in abeyance ambiguous, undermining rights to water, food, employment, health, environment and development. India’s global embarrassment continues, while Pakistan and Bangladesh move forward together, serving as role models for Muslim unity.
