The Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANF) has raided two bungalows in the city recently who were illegally growing marijuana in the premises, it was learnt on Friday. Sources privy to the development revealed that the drug was being used in local musical and dance parties thrown among youngsters. It was further reported that the drug was also being sold on the streets of Defence Housing Authority (DHA), Clifton and other posh areas.The ANF sources entailed that laboratories were setup inside the residential houses that were growing and nurturing marijuana plantations. Arrests could be made in light of the drug bust, weapons and other harmful substances were also seized from the bungalows. Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) Intelligence operation on April 11 helped bust an unprecedented 7 billion rupees worth of drug smuggling attempt, sources privy to the information have revealed. The sources claimed that a total of 700 kilograms of high-grade heroin and 80 kilograms of opium/cocaine was seized in the operation.
