There is ample stock of sugar available in Jhang district and all measures have been taken for smooth supply of sugar.
Sugar stocking mafia will never be allowed to establish its monopoly under any circumstances.
Artificial shortage of sugar will not be tolerated, integrated mechanism will be followed for sugar production and stock checking in sugar mills.
Jhang Deputy Commissioner Fayyaz Ahmed Mohal expressed these views during a meeting with sugar dealers here on Friday.
ADC Revenue Shahid Abbas Joya, ADC General Muhammad Sarwar Gujjar, Assistant Commissioners – Qasim Gul and Usman Skand and DO Industries Muhammad Matin Asghar were also attended the meeting.
The DC said that sugar dealers should not side with vested interests, restore supply and never opt for artificial shortage of sugar. He said that we as a nation should realize our responsibilities.
It is not right to stop anything just for profit, he stressed, adding that DO Industries should deploy staff to check the stock of all sugar mills.
Assistant Commissioners should visit the spot and inspect, check the stock and ensure its supply.
He said that where sugar stocks are not registered, they will be sealed.
All sugar mills management should report the production and consumption of sugar on daily basis. He said that dealers should also register their sugar in the register after booking.
He said that the dealers should also ensure the entry of their sugar in the register after booking, also keep the record of payment and bill.
On this occasion, the sugar dealers of Jhang district also assured the Deputy Commissioner of their full cooperation.
