American Lycetuff The Educators Among 70 Sealed In Lahore

The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) sealed 70 illegal commercial buildings and premises that defaulted on commercialisation fees in LDA-controlled areas and various housing schemes on Thursday.

LDA’s Town Planning Wing sealed eight buildings in Gulberg, 10 in New Muslim Town, 17 in Airline Society, and 35 in Allama Iqbal Town and Subzazar Housing Scheme.

These buildings were sealed during operations against illegal commercial use and nonpayment of commercialisation fees.

The sealed premises include American Lycetuff, British School System, The Educators, Stem Academy, Grande Pharmacy, Queen’s Beauty Salon, Bushra’s Salon & SPA, Allied Health Clinic, grocery stores, food outlets, workshops, offices, and other businesses.

LDA Chief Town Planner I, Assad-uz-Zaman, and Chief Town Planner II, Azhar Ali, supervised the operations. Enforcement teams carried out the operations with the assistance of the Police.

According to the LDA officials, several notices were served on the owners of these illegal buildings prior to the operations being carried out.

LDA Director General Tahir Farooq has directed the continuation of indiscriminate operations against violations of bylaws, encroachments, land grabbers, illegal commercial buildings and non-payment of commercialisation fees in LDA-controlled areas and housing schemes in Lahore.
