Ambassador Maciej Pisarski visits Pakistan Observer

Ambassador of Poland, Mr Maciej Pisarski has termed the bilateral relations between Poland and Pakistan on the right track adding both the countries enjoy close, friendly relations and Poland highly valued its relations with Pakistan. He expressed these views during a call on meeting with Chairman and CEO of Pakistan Observer, Mr Faisal Zahid Malik during a visit to the offices of the newspaper.

The polish envoy was accompanied by the Commercial Consular of the Embassy of Poland, Mr Sergiusz Moskal. Mr Faisal Zahid Malik along with the Chief Digital Officer of Pakistan Observer, Mr Saud Faisal Malik received the Polish delegation and welcomed them at the Pakistan Observer. He termed the bilateral relations between Pakistan and Poland growing steadily. Poland being a member country of the European Union (EU) has been key business partner of Pakistan, said Mr Faisal Malik.

The Polish ambassador while elaborating on trade and business ties between the two countries, said, Poland had a large net trade with Pakistan and in 2021, exported metals (US$91 million), mineral products (US19.6 million) and machines (US$12 million) to Pakistan. In return, Poland imported from Pakistan textiles (US$573 million), animal hides ($45.9 million) and vegetable products (US$ 20 million).

Still there is a huge potential between the two countries to explore further and expand their trade and business ties. Besides, there was also a need to explore the opportunities for fostering cultural exchanges and strengthening diplomatic ties between the two nations, the ambassador said. in addition, a large number of the Pakistani students are enrolled at the Polish educational institutions and in future the number is likely to grow.

Mr Faisal Zahid Malik invited the Polish companies to invest in Pakistan as the country was offering huge incentives to the investors and had reformed its industrial sector creating ease of doing business in Pakistan. They also discussed and agreed to explore ways to strengthen political and economic ties between Pakistan and Poland.
