AmBank Islamic Bhd recently garnered three awards at the Global Banking & Finance Awards 2021.
it said this was the second consecutive year that AmBank Islamic has been named as the Best Is-lamic Corporate Bank Malaysia and the Best Is-lamic SME Bank Malaysia.
It said the chief executive officer (CEO) of AmBank Islamic, Eqhwan Mokhzanee, was awarded Islamic Banking CEO of the Year Malay-sia for the third consecutive year.
AmBank Islamic chairman, Datuk Seri Abdul Hamidy Abdul Hafiz said: “We are truly honoured to be conferred with these prestigious awards which reflect our commitment towards customers, espe-cially as we face the Covid-19 pandemic.
“We are also indeed heartened for the continu-ous recognition accorded to the role played by Eqhwan in leading AmBank Islamic and in the Is-lamic banking industry.”
The group chief executive officer of AmBank Group, Datuk Sulaiman Mohd Tahir said “these accolades are a testament to our relentless effort in supporting our customers with banking solutions to meet their specific needs, which are even most per-tinent during these challenging times.”
Since its inception in 2011, The Global Banking & Finance Awards reflect the innovation, achieve-ment, strategy, progressive and inspirational changes taking place within the Global Financial community.
