ISLAMABAD – Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir reaffirmed Pakistan’s unique role among Muslim nations.
In his address at National Ulema and Mashaikh Conference, the country’s top commander said “Allah Almighty has honored Pakistan by entrusting it with the guardianship of the Two Holy Mosques”.
Field Marshal Munir stressed that ties between Islamic Emirate and State of Pakistan reflect deeply rooted historical alliance, adding this cooperation forms a “historic defense pact.”
He warned that abandoning knowledge and neglecting education bring nothing but chaos and corruption, stressing that “honour and strength come not through division, but through hard work and knowledge.” He urged religious scholars to promote learning and unity throughout the nation.
Rejecting terrorism, CDF asserted that extremism is foreign to Pakistan “it belongs to those who resort to hidden terror, not to a nation that confronts its enemies openly.” He further clarified that in a true Islamic state, only the state, not individuals or groups, has the authority to declare jihad.
He declared that Pakistan’s victories in the struggle for justice are achieved through Allah’s grace. He called upon the Ulema to keep the nation united and expand its vision. The speech ended with a resounding affirmation: “Pakistan Zindabad forever.”
