ISLAMABAD – Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Wednesday said that he had provided all the information regarding IPPs (Independent Power Producers) to the Prime Minister.
Mohsin Naqvi mentioned that the Prime Minister has discussed all matters with the Ministry of Energy. They are making every effort to address the issues, and a sit-in is ongoing in Balochistan, which has become a provincial subject.
He said that regardless of the province, they are committed to providing assistance. The province is autonomous in deciding its strategy, while they are fully responsible for security. There is no need for anyone to be politically troubled; everything is stable.
Mohsin Naqvi added that as the Prime Minister works diligently, they will all work with the same dedication. When asked about negotiations with PTI (Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf), he said only Allah knows with whom the founder of PTI will negotiate and with whom not.
The Interior Minister further mentioned that the government facilitated a ceasefire in Parachinar. A conflict had started over land issues in Parachinar, and the government brought both groups to the negotiating table and mediated the talks.
An unusual situation had arisen in Parachinar, which they managed to handle.
