‘All Good’ report will work no more IGP unhappy with field officers performance

Expressing dissatisfaction over the performance of field officers, Punjab Inspector General of Police Rao Sardar Ali Khan said that all supervisory officers of province should improve their performance and special focus should be given to crime control as well as provision of services to citizens.

He further said that Punjab Police is for public service, therefore, officers should keep direct contact with applicants and ensure elimination of tout mafia culture in police stations.

The IG Police directed that the best facilities should be provided to citizens in police stations, police service centres and other offices and they should be treated with respect and dignity. Rao Sardar Ali emphasized that corruption is not tolerated at any level. Supervisory officers should go out in the field instead of sitting in offices.

Rao Sardar Ali Khan, while issuing crackdown orders on use and sale of drugs in educational institutions and hostels, said that intelligence-based operations should be intensified in order to eliminate criminals involved in this nefarious business.

He further said that officers and personnel patronizing criminals have no place in department and if any such complaint was proved against any officer or official, he would be expelled from the department.

IG Punjab added that if any incident of torture cell, illegal detention of accused and basic human rights of prisoners were violated in any district, the supervisory officers would have to answer for this.

Rao Sardar Ali Khan said that delay in registration of cases would not be tolerated and officers would be responsible for performance of their respective regions.

He directed officers to improve the performance of force and subordinate staff while focusing on process of reward and punishment.

IGP expressed that, efforts should be intensified to bring the accused involved in heinous crimes to justice.

While talking about police martyrs, the IG Police said that police martyrs are our real heroes therefore, close contact should be kept with families of the martyrs and no effort should be spared for their best welfare.

Meanwhile, Inspector General of Police Rao Sardar Ali Khan took notice of the rape incident of a mentally handicapped girl in Jhelum and directed RPO Rawalpindi to submit incident report.

The IG Police directed DPO Jhelum to meet victim’s family and trace the accused involved in incident and bring him to justice.

He further said that there is zero tolerance for incidents of abuse and violence against women and children.

The IGP further directed to ensure justice to girl child immediately. The Jhelum Police have registered a case as soon as the incident was reported and medical test has also been done of affected girl child.

In addition, IG Punjab has taken notice of the incident in which two persons were killed in a firing incident at a showroom in Mozang area and sought report from CCPO Lahore.

He directed that with the help of Safe City camera footage, the accused should be traced and arrested as soon as possible.
