Alkhidmat Karachi has received the advanced medical equipment from the government of Japan which had been promised through an MoU signed earlier.
Toshio Odagiri, Consul General of Japan handed over the high-tech equipment which included Ultrasound and Laproscopy machines to CEO Alkhidmat Karachi Naveed Ali Baig in a ceremony held on Wednesday morning at Alkhidmat Hospital in Nazimabad, Karachi. Apart from these, an X-ray machine was also given to Dr. Abdus Salam Hospital in Safoora Goth.
The ceremony was also attended by Executive Director Alkhidmat Karachi Rashid Qureishi, Director Health Dr. Saqib Ansari, Director Diagnostics
Dr. Azeemuddeen, other doctors, paramedical staff and senior officials from Alkhidmat Karachi and the Japanese Consulate.
Speaking on the occasion, His Excellency Toshio Odagiri reiterated his trust in Alkhidmat’s capability in serving humanity in moments of crises and expressed his confidence that the citizens of Karachi would benefit from the high-tech machines.
He added that his government was also lending a helping hand to Pakistan for relief and rehabilitation operations during the recent floods that had devastated the country. CEO Naveed Ali Baig said that Alkhidmat was providing exemplary health services by running four big hospitals in the city besides a number of medical centers, diagnostic centers, clinics and collections points.
It was Alkhidmat’s objective to provide world-class health facilities to citizens and the new equipment would make it easier for people to get advanced health reports at a reasonable cost. Already, Alkhidmat’s services were running 24 hours and providing facilities such as laboratories, pharmacies, diagnostics as well as dental care, and with the new X-ray and Laproscopy machines, surgery of the gall bladder would also be greatly facilitated.
Naveed Ali Baig expressed his pleasure at the trust and confidence posed by the Japanese government and Consulate in Alkhidmat and said that this was a result of the dedication and honesty of Alkhidmat’s efforts at providing welfare services for a long time. Thanking the Japanese Consul General for the equipment, he expressed his hope that this warm and cordial relationship would continue in the future too.
