AlKhidmat Foundation spent Rs21.49b for public welfare in 2023

Al-Khidmat Foundation Pakistan’s altruistic endeavors shine through as its annual report unveils a staggering expenditure of Rs.21.49 billion on welfare activities in 2023, catering to a diverse array of beneficiaries.

According to the report, the foundation’s dedicated efforts reached out to 20.5 million individuals, spanning orphans, students, patients, disaster victims, and beyond. A network of 67,000 volunteers tirelessly served 625,000 victims through 39 disaster management centers, exemplifying the organization’s commitment to humanitarian relief.

The Disaster Management Department’s proactive response provided crucial aid, including 8,310 tents and food packages, benefiting 30,840 affected families throughout the year.

A significant portion of Al-Khidmat’s budget, amounting to Rs.7.05 billion annually, is allocated to healthcare initiatives. In 2023 alone, 52 hospitals and 50 medical centers extended medical services to over 10.22 million individuals, furthering the foundation’s mission of accessible healthcare for all.

Moreover, the foundation’s sponsorship of more than 29,000 orphans, provision of 436 million scholarships to 5,269 deserving students, and assistance to 3.936 million individuals from marginalized communities underscore its holistic approach to social welfare.

In a commendable effort to empower entrepreneurs, Al-Khidmat disbursed interest-free loans totaling Rs. 43 crore to 14,000 aspiring individuals, fostering economic independence and sustainability.
