Former General Manager of PTV has said that Alhamra because of its flawless performance is now considered as one of the finest institutions of culture in the world. And we will keep on prospering, she added that we all know Alhamra always plays a fundamental role towards the promotion of Pakistan’s soft image in all over the world and we will continue these efforts.
She expressed these views while presiding over by LAC’s new Board of Governors meeting. The overall 62 and a first meeting of new Board of Governors of Lahore Arts Council was held on Friday here at the Alhamra Art Centre, The Mall.
Speaking on the occasion Ms. Moneeza welcomed all the members by giving introductory words at the meeting. She said that Alhamra will take systematic and concrete steps to further strengthen the cultural and literary traditions of the past. She further said that our new generation will be provided with an environment in which they can further enhance their creativity. During the meeting different projects review briefing was given to the members all board members appreciated the efforts of Executive director, Lahore Arts Council Ather Ali Khan. Attendees of the meeting shared their valuable suggestions with all board members. Board members said that Alhamra under the supervision of Mr. Ather Ali Khan had reached the heights of excellence like never before and Alhamra must work under the leadership banner of the executive director.
During the meeting official members including Secretary Culture and Information Raja Jahangir Anwar, General Manager PTV Saif Ud Din, Head of Fine Dept., Punjab University Dr. Shahida Manzoorand Executive Director Lahore Arts Council Ather Ali Khan and Non official members including TaimurAzmat Osman, Sohail Warraich and others were present.
