Former President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) M Akram Farid has congratulated the British Pakistani business tycoon Zameer Choudrey on the appointment of Member of the House of Lords and said that he has served Pakistan even remaining abroad and successes knocked his door.
The Chief, Employers’ Federation of Pakistan (EFP) Capital office Islamabad said that perceiving the capabilities of Zameer Choudrey the Queen appointed him the member of the House of Lords. He added that the UK is an important partner of Pakistan making progress in every sector and segment of society which is seen with great appreciation.
Ensuring large-scale investment in Pakistan and providing employment opportunities to thousands of people through the Best way Foundation. Zamir Chaudhry was awarded with the Lordship which is another feather in his cap.
Choudrey is the CEO of Bestway Group, a wholesale empire with a reported turnover of £3.5 billion and a workforce of 34,000.
He is also the chairman of Conservative Friends of Pakistan (CFOP), an organization seeking to build stronger ties between the UK’s Conservative Party with Pakistan and the British Pakistani Community. The bestway Group owns Bestway Cement Ltd in Pakistan and also has a controlling share in United Bank Limited (UBL).
