The Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Sardar Tanveer Ilyas has decided not to take monthly salary and other benefits.
The AJK Prime Minister as a senior most minister had also set an example by deciding not to take salary, fuel and other benefits from the exchequer and now as the Prime Minister, maintaining this tradition of his past, he has decided not to accept the salary and other privileges.
Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan has also remained the provincial minister in the caretaker set-up of Punjab in 2018 and later became the Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Punjab and also the Chairman of the Board of Investment and Trade and even then, he did not receive any salary or benefits from the Punjab government.
Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan is the first Minister and Prime Minister in the 75-year history of Azad Kashmir who decided not to take salary and other privileges from the exchequer.
