AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan on Sunday called on Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi in his Foreign Ministry office. Explosive situation obtaining in India-held Kashmir came under discussion with Pakistan Foreign Minister assuring full-speed sensitization of the dispute of Jammu and Kashmir in the relevant world forums. Use of cluster bombs by Indian forces in villages of AJK along Line of Control evoked condemnation in the meeting.
Indian stubbornness in neither participating in bilateral negotiations and nor accepting third party mediation over Kashmir issue was critically noticed in the meeting. Pakistan has already apprised the permanent members of the UN Security Council of the evolving situation in occupied Kashmir. Meanwhile AJK Premier has called an all-party conference on Kashmir situation on August 6, 2019 for adopting common approach to deal with the aftermath of the recent bombing of AJK villages by Indian forces and dislocation of local population.
