ISLAMABAD – Chief of Air Staff Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu on Wednesday said the role played by the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) in “Marka-e-Haq” would be written in golden words in the country’s history, stating that the force taught the enemy a lesson from Srinagar to Bathinda.
A dignified ceremony was held at Air Headquarters to pay tribute to PAF personnel on completion of one year of “Marka-e-Haq”, during which Pakistan claims to have delivered a decisive response to Indian aggression.
Addressing the ceremony, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu said the PAF gave a strong and befitting reply to Indian aggression and played a key role in defending the country during Marka-e-Haq.
Referring to the Pahalgam incident, he said India levelled baseless allegations against Pakistan following what he described as a “false flag operation”, despite Pakistan offering an impartial and neutral investigation into the matter.
The Air Chief said the PAF caused heavy damage to India’s air defence system and delivered a crushing defeat to the enemy. “From Srinagar to Bathinda, the Pakistan Air Force taught the enemy a lesson,” he said, adding that the PAF’s contribution to national defence during Marka-e-Haq was historic.
He further claimed that Pakistan’s “cyber falcons” destroyed the enemy’s cyber security systems and inflicted a humiliating defeat on the Indian Air Force. He maintained that the PAF remained the guardian of Pakistan’s air frontiers and had brought down some of the world’s leading fighter aircraft.
Air Chief Marshal Sidhu asserted that all enemy installations were within the PAF’s operational range and claimed that India’s S-400 air defence system was destroyed within moments during Marka-e-Haq. He also said Pakistan demonstrated advanced drone capabilities and outperformed the enemy in aerial, electronic and cyber warfare.
He praised PAF officers and personnel for showing exceptional professional skills during Marka-e-Haq and congratulated them on what he termed a successful operation.
