A large number of philanthropists, donors, corporate sector representatives, and diplomats attended an event to get support for the philanthropic drive of a Karachi-based non-profit to increase the number of students from backward communities in its charitable schools.

According to a statement on Tuesday, among the distinguished guests were Malaysian Consul, HE Herman Hardynata Ahmad, and two sons of the UAE Consul General in Karachi, Atiq and Syed. The primary focus of the event was to raise funds to further the noble mission of the non-profit Al-Furqan Welfare Organisation (AFWO) in providing education to children from deprived communities. The five-year goal of AFWO is to double the number of students enrolled in its charitable schools and expand its geographical reach by establishing new school branches within Karachi as well as in Sindh.

The AFWO aims to expand its outreach to other provinces to widen the scope of its impact and to empower underserved communities across the nation with access to quality education and essential resources. Concerned industry leaders from diverse sectors attended the event endorsing AFWO’s mission and fortifying its resolve to make a tangible difference in the lives of underserved communities.

The students from branch-1 school of AFWO presented a captivating performance on “Lab peAtihaiDua”, on the occasion, showing the power of hope and faith in overcoming the challenges.
