ISLAMABAD – Pakistan’s armed forces unleashed what officials describe as “decisive retaliatory operations” against sites allegedly linked to the Afghan Taliban.
Sources claim strikes destroyed drone storage facility and an ammunition depot in Jalalabad, marking yet another intense chapter in the ongoing cross-border conflict. The military says the operation dubbed Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq targets elements it labels as “Fitna al-Khawarij,” insisting the installations were being used for militant activities.
The bombardments are aimed at dismantling networks allegedly responsible for cross-border attacks, promising precision strikes designed to neutralize threats emanating from Afghan territory. While details remain tightly controlled, security analysts warn that the latest operations could further inflame already fragile regional relations.

Meanwhile, a sweeping crackdown on undocumented foreign nationals continues unabated inside Punjab. Authorities report that a staggering 32,729 Afghan and other undocumented migrants have already been deported from Lahore and surrounding areas, which are part of what officials call a zero-tolerance policy on illegal residency.
Police sources reveal that 346 individuals still remain at holding centers awaiting processing. The deportations include 12,356 men, 6,673 women, and 13,700 children, underscoring the scale of the operation. Government figures show that 10,441 deportees held some form of residence documentation, while 11,098 possessed Afghan Citizen Cards and 11,190 were classified as undocumented migrants.
The crackdown sparked debate among human rights advocates and security officials. However, the Inspector General of Police, Abdul Karim, has ordered law enforcement to maintain heightened security and fully implement policies targeting undocumented residents.
