The drainage work was satisfactory during the two days of rain the staff of the local bodies, including cleaning the drains, kept the city running during the rains kudos to all the staff who worked during the rain.
These views were expressed by Mayor Karachi and Chairman Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KWSC) Barrister Murtaza Wahab Siddiqui during a high level meeting regarding drainage in MD KWSC Secretariat Karsaz, on this occasion, CEO KWSC Engineer Syed Salahuddin Ahmed, COO KWSC Engineer Asadullah Khan and Chief Engineer Sewerage Aftab Alam Chandio along with all Superintending and Executive Engineers of Sewage were present, during the meeting, Mayor Karachi gave strict instructions to all Executive Engineers of Sewage and said that the sewerage system should be improved throughout the city and all the complaints regarding sewerage should be removed immediately.
He further said that providing better water supply and sewerage facilities to the citizens is one of our top priorities and if the citizens suffer, strict action will be taken against the negligent officers.
